Medical review policy
Clinical accuracy is non-negotiable. Every clinical page on this site is reviewed by a board-certified surgeon before publication and re-reviewed on a defined cadence.
Who reviews content
Clinical content is reviewed by board-certified general or abdominal-wall surgeons. Reviewer credentials are listed on the reviewers page and attributed on each page they reviewed.
Review cadence
Every clinical page is re-reviewed at least annually or when new society guidelines are released — whichever is sooner.
Corrections
Errors are corrected promptly. Substantive corrections that affect clinical guidance are annotated with a correction note and updated last-reviewed date.
Independence
Medical reviewers are not compensated per-page and do not review copy about their own practice's outcomes. See conflict of interest.
